Working together as a team to achieve our mission. We have a flexible and agile "Ways of working" policy that supports people to work in a way that suits them, with hybrid working and the resources to support team members both virtually and in person. Employees are encouraged to collaborate, socialise, and learn from one another through the best possible technology and in our offices in London, New York and San Francisco.
How we operate as a business is as important to us as the science we pursue. We are motivated by what is right for patients, and by the need to advance research of accelerating patient access to evidence-based innovation in mental health – on our own and in collaboration with others.
Hosting bi-weekly community circles, discussion groups, regular pulse surveys, monthly team meetings and time with our CEO. We use these opportunities to engage with one another to gather insights into what people need to support their professional and personal life. Every member of our organisation is available on slack, and your voice being heard is only a direct message or call away.
We show respect through actionable listening: taking the steps needed to improve the experience of every team member.
Providing the best-in-class training, yearly funds towards development, opportunities for mentorship, coaching, a comprehensive well-being programme, and time with management and leadership to develop themselves to their best capabilities.
Pairing this with our bespoke career development model and internal job architecture – our team have insight into expectations and competencies, creating a transparent approach for their career aspirations.
It is our ongoing commitment to invest in our people, with the intention to develop them – both professionally and personally.
Special care and attention is taken during our talent acquisition process. Finding people who align closely with our core values of being compassionate, bold, rigorous and inclusive attracts authentic individuals connected to our mission. We run regular values focus groups with team members to understand how we can continue to live our values and reflect them in our day-to-day work.
COMPASS core values are embedded within our culture – influencing company strategy, objective setting and decision making.
Crafted with care and attention to inspire and motivate the team.
Our inclusive environment promotes a culture that is creative, forward-thinking and fun. Our team has a strong work ethic but an equally strong play culture. We have dedicated social, wellbeing, green and EDI teams, which provides a space for our team to build a community with one another, while remaining mission driven.

We responded immediately to the COVID-19 pandemic, taking all the steps necessary to ensure our team could work safely, and putting their wellbeing first. We now offer hybrid working and have a progressive and agile “Ways of Working” policy, allowing team members to work in a way that suits them. We continue to adhere to government guidance, and always put the needs of our team first.
We are COMPASS Pathways, a mental health care company dedicated to accelerating patient access to evidence-based innovation in mental health. Our focus is on improving the lives of those who are suffering with mental health challenges and who are not helped by current treatments. We are pioneering the development of a new model of psilocybin therapy, in which our proprietary formulation of synthetic psilocybin, COMP360, is administered in conjunction with psychological support. Our vision is a world of mental wellbeing.
