We are a highly distributed company and so work hard to support collaboration throughout our teams. Cross-functionality is in our DNA and we believe that small groups of empowered people with different disciplines & perspectives are always best to tackle hard problems. In addition to a whole suite of collaboration tools we provide (Slack, Notion, Jira, Miro, Trello, etc.) we work to build relationships and connect people. We developed a custom Slack app to match random people for virtual coffees each week, and we have a very light hearted all-hands meeting each Friday which includes a DJ, team of the work, lightening talks about a host of varied topics, and a kudos board where we share positive feedback about each other. We believe that magic happens when we get together, so we pay for teams to travel to be together regularly, and for social events so they can get to know each other better.

Our approach has not changed through the pandemic. We want all employees to feel safe and productive, and we trust each person to design their experience of work. We offer fully-distributed, hybrid or fully-office based work to all employees. We offer lots of in person activities but we also respect and accommodate people who aren’t able or don’t feel safe to attend.
