Why Aim Transportation Solutions IS A MOST LOVED WORKPLACE®

Systemic Collaboration

EMPLOYEES COLLABORATE THROUGHOUT OUR COMPANY BY …

We’re a highly collaborative company. My team specifically has 3 meeting each week to brainstorm and update each other since we’re a mostly remote department. We also have formal programs in place to foster collaboration:
• Weekly Aim Continuing Education (ACE) sessions for sales and rental to join and collaborate
• Annual Employee appreciation luncheons at each facility
• Annual open houses to have our employees and customers at each facility
• Annual Safety Week – where each department meets daily to discuss a safety topic
• Biannual sales meetings with entire sales and executive staff
• Annual Maintenance Meeting with maintenance leadership staff (over 100 attendees)
• Annual Integrated Incentive Trip
• Technician and Driver rewards programs
• Biannual sales meetings with entire sales and executive staff
I could keep going – we get together frequently and collaboration is encouraged and celebrated.

Positive Vision of the Future

EMPLOYEES AT OUR COMPANY HAVE A POSITIVE VISION FOR THE FUTURE BECAUSE …

Employees at our company have a positive vision for the future because of our company’s near 100 years of financial stability and growth have proven Aim as a staple in America’s supply chain. While other companies open and close, Aim stands strong with roots deeply grown into the communities where we operate. Each Aim employee has transparency to the future of the company through our bi-annual “Aim Talks”, a town-hall virtual session where our ownership and upper management discuss the state and future of the company and field questions. We also have quarterly employee newsletters where have a “letter from Ownership” that discusses the future of Aim.
VISION STATEMENT The vision for Aim is to be a National leader of innovative transportation solutions through: • Consistently exceeding financial goals • Providing superior customer service • Maintaining operational excellence to the highest standards as individuals and a company All while committing to: • Profitable organic and strategic expansion • Offering the opportunity of a rewarding career by creating an environment of continuous employee training and support • The common goal of making accountability, accessibility, inclusivity, and diversity a part of our culture.

Company Respect

WE SHOW RESPECT AND ENSURE THAT ALL VOICES ARE HEARD AND IDEAS ARE VALUED THROUGHOUT THE COMPANY BY …

A top to bottom company open door policy. Whether you want to talk to a driver, a middle manager, or our CEO you’re welcome to do so. This isn’t something that is just said, but something that is true. I have went in to discuss many matters with our ownership and upper management throughout my career. I am always listened to and thanked for input.
We have annual employment satisfaction surveys through Staymetrics where employees can provide feedback and their voices can be heard. We also have open forum discussions with upper management and ownership in most-to-all of the collaboration mentioned in the collaboration section of this profile.

Company Support / Killer Outcomes

WE SUPPORT OUR EMPLOYEES IN ACHIEVING THEIR PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL GOALS BY …

Aim supports employees achieving their professional and personal goals in a plethora of ways but I think the biggest: Aim promotes within. If you work at Aim, you have coworkers/friends who have been promoted and you see that upward mobility is there for those that work hard. There is a high level of recognition both through formalized programs and the drip down effect from the way our ownership leads the company.
Aim supported me personally in achieving my professional goals by showing flexibility towards me during my continued education, making leadership training available to me, and over 15 years prompting me from where I started as an administrative assistant to today, the Vice President of Marketing. I feel that in other corporate settings, I would not have had the opportunities or support that I’ve had at Aim.
Aim supports employees through the family culture. You’re listened to, you’re treated individually, and your goals are respected and embraced.
A successful culture for us allows people to define their won success at work, no matter what their measuring stick is, and we help them find that success. We stay engaged, we listen, and give employees what they need to feel successful. It’s not the same for everyone but through our adaptability, we are able to link people with what success means to them. This is how we stay engaged.

Alignment of Values

OUR COMPANY’S VALUES ARE ALIGNED WITH OUR EMPLOYEES BECAUSE …

We’re a family owned and operated company and we put family first. Employees are treated with kindness, compassion, and like family members. Moreover, each employee has a voice and is heard. Their values are not only respected but they’re integrated into the fiber of the company as we evolve. I think Aim’s quickness to adapt and react to feedback is one of our strengths as an employer.
Our corporate core values are the foundation of our culture: Integrity, Trust, Accountability, and Commitment. We incorporate these values into every aspect of our culture and daily work lives.
Employee Value Proposition (EVP) Whether you’re on the road, under the hood, or at the office, at Aim you’re a part of a winning team with a long, rich history. We always Aim higher than the competition, and when it comes to your career, you should too. That starts right here at Aim Transportation Solutions. Aim strives to be a national leader of innovative transportation solutions through: • Providing superior customer service • Maintaining operational excellence to the highest standards as individuals and a company • Consistently exceeding financial goals While committing to: • Profitable organic and strategic expansion • Providing rewarding careers and new opportunities through continuous employee training and support • The common goal of making accountability, accessibility, inclusivity and diversity a part of our culture Aim is a family owned and operated company that prides itself on innovation. Our decades of experience have led us to be industry thought leaders. By using state of the art technology, we are able to deliver superior transportation solutions. Aim has big business capabilities and small company values. It’s this attitude that we use to convey our big business services.

Company Practices / Love

PROGRAMS AND PRACTICES WE GIVE TO OUR EMPLOYEES THAT CREATE A LOVED WORKPLACE ARE …

There is some overlap here with my “collaboration” section. I think that many of our collaborative programs and practices are a big part of WHY employees love Aim.
Our philanthropical programs have always been United Way and the second one has changed over the years but the last few we have done the Panerathon for breast cancer. Some of the programs are women mentoring, day of caring, delivery meals, reading and report card mentoring.
Aim has integrity with our customers and our vendors. They show appreciation for us and we do the same. We often hear how Aim is one of their favorite customers as well as we have long standing relationships with our customers.
Our employment concierge focuses on showing our employees our engagement with them. We send birthday cards, anniversary letters and gifts, new births we send cards and are going to start sending a small gift to our future transportation workers, sympathy cards which is all done by our concierge.

CEO Strengths

OUR CEO SERVES AS A MODEL OF OUR COMPANY VALUES BY …

From the bottom of my heart, I can tell you that I’ve never met a better person, leader, or CEO than Aim’s – Tom Fleming. He is truly everything that a leader should be. He is fair, sharp-minded, kind, and his ability to see the big picture is second to none. If he tells you something, you can trust it to be the truth without question. You could never meet a man that is less of a hypocrite than our CEO, Tom Fleming. He’s inspirational.
The values that Tom Fleming holds permeate throughout every Aim facility, throughout the Aim Family (employees), and serve to make us all work happily for a dream that we believe in: Aim Transportation Solutions.

Benefits

EXAMPLES OF UNIQUE BENEFITS, BONUS, OR COMPENSATION WE PROVIDE ARE …

We have a rewards program for both drivers and mechanics that center around their tenure with the company, safety, training.
Comprehensive benefit package that helps us with recruiting. Our condition management program helps them communicate with a nurse to keep them on track and more aware of their health. Probably our newest benefit is the Financial Wellness Program that helps educate them on their personal finances and it is all done online.
Our compensation is very competitive because we do wage studies for the area they are working and for the jobs they are doing. Most people will always say they can make more but truly we make sure that we are competitive.
Training and development, as they say knowledge is power. Other than mandated training there is training for leadership skills and some soft skill training.
