OUR CEO SERVES AS A MODEL OF OUR COMPANY VALUES BY …

We live our values at ATD across all layers of the company and have created a culture of transparency, trust and authenticity. This happens when it is lived and modeled from leaders. Our CEO opens every directors forum and town hall with a reminder of our purpose, vision and values – it’s the value of respect that he’s most passionate about (humility; what more can I do). And the organization sees that. They feel it.
We also have regular (bi-weekly/monthly) video updates from our CEO to keep associates connected to leadership and monthly new hire coffee chats with our CEO and 2-3 executives (rotating schedule based on functional area of new hires).

Our response to COVID-19

During the pandemic, keeping our culture alive and well was a priority at ATD. The value of respect became even more prevalent when we welcomed each other into one another’s home lives in ways never experienced before in the workplace.
We established a COVID-19 leave donation program for associates that need more time off to take care of themselves or their families and immediately implemented remote work for all associates not in the Distribution Center. We supported them through providing a safe work environment with health protocols, provided PPE and protected their work schedules.
We lead with compassion and care – we encourage shared humanity because we’re all people at the end of the day. And we know the whole person comes to work. As we prepare for our return to office (Aug 2022), we’re putting this into practice by creating a workplace that’s hybrid to the individual needs of each associate.
