Our Culture committee is made up of diverse leaders across the business to include all parts of the organization. We recognize, celebrate and respect the things that make our associates uniquely them. Recent examples include are weAreOne, Black History Month, Pride, Hispanic Heritage observations and videos of associates sharing their stories and resources
Also, our social responsibility initiatives that allow all associates to participate (GSF, Feeding America, Toys for Tots) across the network and localize to their communities.
We’re a learning culture and we celebrate knowledge and invest in associates and leaders that are thirsty to continue to learn and grow with ATD. Our modern learning ecosystem provides daily learning for all associates and leaders and it’s even a part of our individual objectives.
The pace of change requires ongoing refinement of objectives and priorities. Our quarterly performance and development discussions drive transparency and respect in how associates are performing and provide the forum for adjustments so each associate is working on the most critical professional and development priorities.
Our values are the mindsets, behaviors and traits that we embody every day. Associates were included in defining the values that meant the most to them in 2018. Then, we intentionally designed learning paths to instill the values into the fabric of our company and initiatives that allowed our associates to put the values into practice.
We believe in driving hope, happiness and well-being across communities in which we live and serve, so that this generation and the next has opportunity and accessibility to thrive and drive into the future.
We design all of our programs with the whole person in mind which because we’re all people at the end of the day. And we know the whole person comes to work. Some of these programs include:

We live our values at ATD across all layers of the company and have created a culture of transparency, trust and authenticity. This happens when it is lived and modeled from leaders. Our CEO opens every directors forum and town hall with a reminder of our purpose, vision and values – it’s the value of respect that he’s most passionate about (humility; what more can I do). And the organization sees that. They feel it.
We also have regular (bi-weekly/monthly) video updates from our CEO to keep associates connected to leadership and monthly new hire coffee chats with our CEO and 2-3 executives (rotating schedule based on functional area of new hires).

Annual weCare Volunteer Day (8 hours) to give back to the communities where we live and work

Total company bonus in 2021: one-time payment for non-bonus eligible associates (corporate), quarterly bonuses for DC hourly associates to thank everyone for excellent company performance
