Why CMI Media Group and Compas IS A MOST LOVED WORKPLACE®

Systemic Collaboration

EMPLOYEES COLLABORATE THROUGHOUT OUR COMPANY BY …

...focusing on creating more efficiencies, breaking down silos and thinking of research as an area for us to fuel smarter insights, decision making, media plans, and innovation, which allows for our clients to benefit from a truly collaborative team of experts backed by research.

One example of this is our newly launched Audience Intelligence Group, a department that combines CMI Media Group’s Market Research and Social Intelligence capabilities, providing more synergies and collaboration to best inform our media strategies and deliverables.

Positive Vision of the Future

EMPLOYEES AT OUR COMPANY HAVE A POSITIVE VISION FOR THE FUTURE BECAUSE …

...steady and consistent growth has continued for CMI Media Group and Compas, which has become the go-to strategic media partner for a significant portion of the industry. Rather than simply executing media buys, the company uses a mix of proprietary technology and highly skilled staff to help clients target key audiences often to the individual level. The company’s upward trajectory of growth, which has been steady since its founding, is due to its superior client deliverables rewarded by an industry-leading client retention rate and new business wins.

Company Respect

WE SHOW RESPECT AND ENSURE THAT ALL VOICES ARE HEARD AND IDEAS ARE VALUED THROUGHOUT THE COMPANY BY …

- Launching an Inclusive Media offering, leveraging its position and capabilities in bringing diversity equity and inclusivity to media.
- Having 8 ERGs that allow our staff to have a greater role in having their voice and needs be included in how we continue to move forward together towards progress with inclusion, belonging, equity and diversity outcomes in our organization.
- Executive Chairman and Founder of CMI Media Group and Compas Stan Woodland serving on the WPP Inclusion Council.
- Compas being certified by the National Minority Supplier Diversity Council as a minority-owned-and-operated business and generating significant Tier 1 and Tier 2 Diverse Spend.

Company Support / Killer Outcomes

WE SUPPORT OUR EMPLOYEES IN ACHIEVING THEIR PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL GOALS BY …

...launching University Learning Services, a dedicated team that supports the agency’s ability to scale and create even more dynamic career pathing. Building on the agency’s already best in class learning & development offerings, this team will improve client outcomes as we enter the post-pandemic, Future of Work. University Learning Services will also enable the agency to tap into a wider range of non-traditional hires, allowing for a wider talent pool and further diversifying staff.

Alignment of Values

OUR COMPANY’S VALUES ARE ALIGNED WITH OUR EMPLOYEES BECAUSE …

...we were built on inclusion and diversity. It’s in our DNA and Core Values. Challenging the norm is where we started and it’s what drives us as a health leader, indispensable partner, and home for our employees. We are a group of hearts and minds who want to make a difference and celebrate being different, to give a voice to and truly hear our people and our partners. We believe in more than “all.” We believe in “all for good.”

Company Practices / Love

PROGRAMS AND PRACTICES WE GIVE TO OUR EMPLOYEES THAT CREATE A LOVED WORKPLACE ARE …

Giving back to the community is a cornerstone of our corporate culture. We worked with our ERGs to align volunteer days with important national days of recognition that represent an opportunity to help their community, to get educated, or to lend support to a cause that is important to them. Each volunteer day is structured the same, with portions of the day that will involve philanthropy, and also a focus of education, advocating, and allyship for underrepresented groups.

Employees’ volunteer hours and monetary donations were made to a wide range of nonprofits spanning healthcare and social issues, as well as providing resources to families in need. Last year, the agencies donated to organizations, identified by their Employee Resource Groups, on behalf of their clients and partners for the holiday season.

CMI Media Group and Compas continues to fundraise and raise awareness for the Liguori Academy library, which officially opened to students in 2021. The company has also partnered with Liguori Academy to support the students with fundraising, mentoring and with an Advisory Board made up of CMI Media Group staff volunteering their time and skills to help the school.

CEO Strengths

OUR CEO SERVES AS A MODEL OF OUR COMPANY VALUES BY …

...living CMI Media Group and Compas' employee value proposition, “Brilliant Minds. Big Hearts. Bold Opportunities.” They create an inclusive culture where integrity and service are paramount, while providing opportunities for development and career growth that employees can own. They support and hold leadership accountable to provide caring and open environments for all employees through regular communication and providing peers the opportunity to recognize each other.

Benefits

EXAMPLES OF UNIQUE BENEFITS, BONUS, OR COMPENSATION WE PROVIDE ARE …

For 2023, the agency is offering a Flex Time Monday/Friday program as an update and replacement to their previous Summer Hours Program. Instead of a few weeks in the summer, employees will be able to take advantage of full days off, early dismissals and/or late arrivals throughout the year. The agency felt this change was important as it allows their people to flex their time on days that are most meaningful to them.
