Certinia

Why Certinia IS A MOST LOVED WORKPLACE®

Systemic Collaboration

EMPLOYEES COLLABORATE THROUGHOUT OUR COMPANY BY …

Our culture of inclusion and strong engagement allows employees to communicate freely and openly via Slack, Zoom, and other workforce apps and in person in ten offices globally. For new employees, there’s a saying that any answer you need is just one Slack message away.
We get together at events – both in person and virtual. In June, we held our field kick off for Sales and Marketing colleagues globally. In September, we hosted a Leadership Summit with our top 100 leaders to ideate on ways our company can continue to drive our business forward. Our entire executive team actively participates in monthly Town Hall events.
All employees have completed DiSC assessments which give us a common language to discuss team and individual behavior. In addition, we align on company OKRs to establish priorities and track progress toward goals.

Positive Vision of the Future

EMPLOYEES AT OUR COMPANY HAVE A POSITIVE VISION FOR THE FUTURE BECAUSE …

Employees are well informed and well positioned to “elevate those that elevate others.” We have unique products that enable companies to transform their services business. The strength in our product, paired with an advantageous position and available market mean that employees can launch and grow their career with us.
We have committed to being honest, transparent and forthcoming and have a culture of recognition, encouragement and coaching. We actively focus on teamwork, diversity and inclusion, and innovation for the success of our employees and customers. We invest in our people with training, great benefits and career progression.

Company Respect

WE SHOW RESPECT AND ENSURE THAT ALL VOICES ARE HEARD AND IDEAS ARE VALUED THROUGHOUT THE COMPANY BY …

Upholding a culture of respect, inclusion, and listening is a priority. These behaviors show up in everything we do: in our Town Halls where we communicate with transparency; our executive presence where we model these behaviors and serve as role models for what we expect; where we work in a “flat” organization to remain accessible, remove roadblocks, hear concerns and new ideas, and share knowledge; where employees are happy to help each other on behalf of our customers. In addition, we gather feedback often and use it to design new programs, like our time off initiative to combat burnout.

Company Support / Killer Outcomes

WE SUPPORT OUR EMPLOYEES IN ACHIEVING THEIR PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL GOALS BY …

Development and performance is always an active conversation. We focus on developing our employees through a structured quarterly performance program and informal development conversations, while upskilling our managers’ leadership skills to better support and advocate for the broader team. By investing in our teams through access to LinkedIn Learning, DiSC assessments, a new “5 Behaviors of Effective Teams” exercise and annual Leadership Summits, we’re able tap into our employees’ potential and support their professional and personal goals.
We are committed to prioritizing growth and development for employees at every level of the organization.

Alignment of Values

OUR COMPANY’S VALUES ARE ALIGNED WITH OUR EMPLOYEES BECAUSE …

We distinguish and articulate the values that embody how we show up at work each day. We Champion Each Other, and intentionally foster a community of belonging that celebrates our differences. We are committed to ongoing curiosity and cutting edge innovation by Relentlessly Innovating. We Act & Own everything we do, shown through our words, actions and results both as a team and as individuals. Finally, we are Customer Obsessed, and help our customers thrive both externally and internally by making them the center of our universe.

Company Practices / Love

PROGRAMS AND PRACTICES WE GIVE TO OUR EMPLOYEES THAT CREATE A LOVED WORKPLACE ARE …

Employees are passionate about giving back to their communities and eager to support diversity and promote inclusion which makes the world a better place for everyone to live and work. FF4Good is a company sponsored employee-led program where we host local events that benefit the communities around us. Our Volunteer Paid Time Off program offers employees three paid days off to give back to non-profit organizations of their choice. FF4 Inclusion allows employees to connect, recognize, celebrate, educate, engage and support the uniqueness of our employee base. Our Cheers4Peers program enables employees to recognize significant achievement in line with our values. LinkedIn Learning Course Clubs offer remote networking and learning opportunities.

CEO Strengths

OUR CEO SERVES AS A MODEL OF OUR COMPANY VALUES BY …

From day one, our President and CEO Scott Brown has led by example following the principles of a servant-leader. He shares power, emphasizes the needs and concerns of others, and enables employees to develop their talents and perform to the best of their abilities.
Scott lives by and encourages ten guiding principles of leadership:
1. Get a wide variety of experience
2. Have a thirst for knowledge
3. Take care of your body
4. Be globally aware
5. Have humanity and compassion for everyone
6. Always assume positive intent
7. Work hard but work smart
8. Be authentic and open about mistakes
9. Put quality above quantity
10. Have a life outside your company

Benefits

EXAMPLES OF UNIQUE BENEFITS, BONUS, OR COMPENSATION WE PROVIDE ARE …

We offer comprehensive benefits that allow for choice and flexibility, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as flexible time off, holidays, inclusive parental leave, retirement plans, employee assistant programs, and wellness services. In regards to work/life balance, we are serious about making sure employees take time out to recharge. Each year, we close as a company for two paid days simply to focus on wellbeing and we shut down for a week to celebrate the holiday season, which allows employees an opportunity to rejuvenate before jumping into a new year. In addition, a few times a year we send a “snappy gift” where employees choose an item of their choice.

About the Company

Founded in 2009, Certinia, formerly FinancialForce, initially aimed to deliver ERP on Force.com. After a decade of investment, our Professional Services Cloud has become the most trusted PSA solution on the market. Recently, we've launched new products in two markets with Services CPQ and Customer Success Cloud, and we’ve expanded our ERP Cloud offering with FP&A, creating a comprehensive platform for services businesses. This evolution of the business drove our decision to rebrand in May 2023 and align our name with our promise and future potential.
