We follow a cross-functional setup by having the People & Engineering teams distributed in every department. This gives us all the resources we need to work autonomously and minimizes our dependence on other parts of the company. By prioritizing a digital-first approach, FINN empowers our employees to operate from diverse settings, be it our offices, their homes, or coworking spaces. This ensures that regardless of their location, our employees can consistently make a positive impact and contribute to making mobility fun and sustainable. Our FINN team and community are the heartbeat of our company, prompting us to consistently enhance the sense of community, belonging, and interaction within our community! To further strengthen team cohesion, we are committed to reinforcing existing communities, such as the FINN Soccer Club and FINN Cycling Club, and emphasizing cross-departmental exchange to break down barriers. Furthermore, we organize a variety of events, ranging from remote and hybrid events to onsite weeks, as well as multi-day trips where the whole company has the chance to get together.
Employees at our company have a positive vision for the future because we are driven by a compelling mission and a set of core values that inspire confidence and purpose. Since our establishment in 2019, our mission has been to create the most popular car subscription platform, alleviating the concerns of those who love driving but are apprehensive about the challenges, commitment, and opaque costs associated with ownership.
Our core purpose, "Drive change for people, organizations, and the planet through frictionless mobility," serves as a powerful motivator. By supporting the advancement of e-mobility and transforming a traditional and non-sustainable industry, we aim to provide a frictionless and hassle-free experience to our customers.
This collective vision, coupled with our dedication to innovation, customer satisfaction, and sustainability, instills a sense of optimism and purpose among our employees, making the future at our company one filled with promise and success.
At FINN, we place great value on embracing the unique qualities and individuality of each of our team members. We recognize the importance of having a diverse group of employees with varied experiences, backgrounds, knowledge, and perspectives, spanning across all levels.
In everything we do, we want to enable employees to be their best selves and foster a culture of respectful interaction. Our goal is not to merely fill a checkbox or meet a quota, but to ensure that every member of our team feels a sense of belonging and purpose at FINN. This allows us to leverage a wide range of viewpoints and enables us to provide our customers across the world with a product that meets their needs.
We are building an organization that is diverse at every level and in every department, by ensuring bias-free recruitment, fair and transparent performance management, inclusive sponsorship and carefully considered succession plans. We are continuously seeking ways to promote diversity, equity and inclusion within our organization. Through various initiatives like our Women at FINN Squad as well as our DE&I squad, we are creating a welcoming and comfortable place to work for people of all genders.
The Career Development Framework at FINN serves as a foundation for the employee journey at FINN. The framework contains defined skills, competencies, and related expectations across levels and provides a clear understanding of how to develop and advance careers within FINN for supervisors and employees.
The performance review process at FINN is designed with the overarching goal of continuously increasing talent density within the organization. This is achieved through a strategic and comprehensive framework that not only evaluates performance but also aims to create an environment of fairness, transparency, and continuous development, contributing to the overall enhancement of talent within the organization. FINN conducts two feedback cycles per year, providing regular opportunities for employees to receive constructive feedback and align their goals with the company's objectives. The process emphasizes development with the implementation of Individual Development Plans for every employee, fostering both personal and professional growth as part of a continuous improvement process, which is further facilitated through the utilization of the personal development budget allocated to every employee.
Through a collaborative effort that involved the insights of over 100 employees (>25% of the company), we have successfully defined a new Culture Target Picture at FINN, encompassing five new values in 2023. To facilitate a smooth transition, we have conducted Activation Sessions, aiming to familiarize employees with the intricacies of the new culture while encouraging thoughtful reflection on their team's current dynamics and necessary adaptations. Looking ahead, our focus in the upcoming months will be on the implementation of a range of initiatives designed to align our actions closely with the freshly articulated culture. Additionally, we will conduct a Culture Assessment Survey in the coming weeks to identify any possible gaps and gain insights into the necessary adjustments for a successful cultural evolution. This marks the beginning of an exciting journey toward a more aligned and vibrant company culture.
