Fostering a culture at IPC that encourages collaboration greatly enhances success within our teams and enables our employees to feel far more engaged. Our offices globally follow an open concept approach with collaborative working areas. We have broken down (physical) barriers within our office spaces so that people are able to office to maximize in-person time. Our philosophy is that a hybrid working environment giving everyone the best of both worlds, creating a fluid and cooperative atmosphere.
Each department has teams located globally and are structured to work cross-functionally; IPC requires our employees of different functional expertise to work toward a common goal. By working as a cross-functional team our employees gain better insight into overall project objectives and gives our people the ability to leverage professional networks within our organization. Not only have we seen this result in much higher caliber project end-results, but it fosters a collaborative environment giving each individual an additional understanding of cultural nuances on a global scale.
Our Executive Leadership team has a transparent agenda. This is mirrored through the vision and mission of our organization. We are empowering suppliers, customers and our people; to drive change in where we are investing for growth in our business. We also remain focused on exploring new and innovative technologies, which keeps us at the forefront of the marketplace.
Our IPC People are the foundation of our organization. We are heavily invested in fostering and maintaining a symbiotic relationship between individuals and overall business goals; which requires a wide array of communication. IPC provides the opportunity for feedback as a valued partner, so they are given the opportunities to make effective business decisions through Department Team Meeting forums, Global Town Halls, People Talks, Monthly Newsletters and Engagement Surveys
Communication is a key element to fostering an inclusive workforce. Our people encompass diversity of thought and are from a variety of educational backgrounds. We believe in getting the right people in the room based on talent and merit.
The specific framework we have created are our 4 People Pillars: Growth, Inclusion, Mentorship and Wellness. Our global People Management team focuses on providing people the correct tools and support for career growth within our organization.
IPC sets annual objectives at the beginning of each year. We provide our employees with organic, real-time feedback about their performance throughout the year and have formalized reviews to keep everyone on track, working towards the same vision. We also offer the structure and support needed for people to cultivate their careers in a variety of ways: Executive Coaching, Individual Development Plans, Hi-Potential Development Programs, Tuition Reimbursement and Certification programs.
Investing in our employee’s professional development is an investment for them as an individual and for our global team.
We nurture the success of our employees by providing a foundational link to our company’s Core 4 values.
“be the best you to create the best us” – by being inclusive in the way you operate, demonstrates an inclusive leadership style, takes pride + interest in our diverse IPC Culture. Champions the charity, development and initiatives surrounding our Inclusion program.
“embrace the customer and the change they create” by looking for out-of-the-box solutions. Finds and facilitates opportunities for themselves, their teams or the organization. Challenges themselves to re-skill or up-skill with professional development.
“work smarter”, by demonstrating + embracing effective work styles. Encourages investing in health and wellness by “being the best you to create the best us”. Creates a healthy IPC work culture.
“inspire…aim higher” by providing support and guidance so others can maximize their potential professionally. Actively coaches junior peers or colleagues outside of their immediate teams. Participates in mentoring programs.
We have 4 foundational People Pillars that support our employees to enhance our employee experience.
Under our Inclusion Pillar we have a very developed D&I program that ensures we are consistently inclusive from a global perspective and celebrating our uniqueness locally. Diversity to us means varying educational backgrounds, experiences and points of view are invited to take part in organizational decision-making bring to the table the diversity of thought.
IPC’s Mentorship Pillar is successful because of everyone playing a hand in the success of our people which takes many forms; both formally and informally through Allyship, Sponsorship and Mentorship. We have formalized programs that specifically are geared to women in the workforce through external partnerships, new hire mentoring when bringing in new talent, our Internship Program and executive mentorship inside our People Development Programs.
Our Wellness Pillar considers 4 main areas that create stability and balance for our people: physical, mental, financial and work style. We have specific Wellness programs and seminars about managing work life integration along with healthy eating activities supported by our external partnerships that share our values and vision.
Our multi-tiered people development programs provide opportunities. Through our Growth Pillar which is geared towards a growth mindset, IPC provides people resources to upgrade their skillset through certifications, workshops, and training to develop knowledge on new products and soft skills. We have an internal platform Learning Management System, as well as course offerings through LinkedIn Learning. This is in addition to internal job opportunities on a global scale.
To quote Bob Santella, “We are only as good as our People.”
Our CEO models collaboration, transparency, integrity and dedication in the way he leads our organization. Bob reinforces our core values by recognizing and selecting 3 winners each quarter under his CEO Core 4 Values award. These individuals represent his vision and the 4 core values of the organization; based on accumulated feedback from other employees. Additionally, as this year marks IPC’s 50th Anniversary, Bob Santella has continued to celebrate the people that have made IPC a success, as well as a great place to work.
During the start of IPC’s 2021 Fiscal Year, the IPC employees in the U.S moved to a flexible PTO model for time-off. Previously our employees were subject to a fixed amount of vacation days or a “use it or lose it” scenario at year-end. When we changed this policy, it allowed employees not to focus on an accrued vacation balance. This policy gave our employees and managers greater autonomy to manage time off while maintaining accountability for meeting business needs.
Mental Health challenges have been drastically on the rise since the start of the Global Pandemic and we saw it impact our employees first-hand. While a focus prior to the pandemic, we really ramped up our partnerships and mental health benefit offerings in the last several years. One example of these benefits is through the IPC Employee Assistance Program (EAP) through Health Advocate. This benefit comes at no cost to our employees. Through this benefit, employees can receive referral services for confidential, professional counseling and this service is not only available to our employees themselves, but also to their immediate family members.
As a part of IPC’s commitment to fostering a well-rounded and meaningful life for employees, throughout the year we provide employees with a series of resources centered around IPC’s four key pillars of health (emotional, physical, social, and financial). Examples of these resources come in the form of seminars (“Food & Mood”), office social gatherings (i.e. sporting events), and access to services such as financial planners.
We are focused on providing our clients with connectivity, security, and flexible solutions to reach financial markets anywhere, anytime.
Having global presence, we support local markets focusing on the human element with cutting edge cloud-based trading communications and managed connectivity.
