IQ Solutions, Inc.

Why IQ Solutions, Inc. IS A MOST LOVED WORKPLACE®

Systemic Collaboration

EMPLOYEES COLLABORATE THROUGHOUT OUR COMPANY BY …

By building strong internal relationships, we are able to effectively collaborate to support our clients and offer unified solutions to their challenges. Our teams generally hold stand-up meetings on a daily or weekly basis so employees can connect and learn together. Functional areas like web development have Scrum meetings where they can share teachable moments. We also hold semi-annual all-company gatherings in-person where we connect, learn and build community together. Annually, our employees participate in IQ Do Good Day, going offsite and volunteering together in the community. We also utilize various technologies such as SharePoint and Microsoft Teams, engaging with each other in “cameras on” meetings and within documents to share and discuss projects.

Positive Vision of the Future

EMPLOYEES AT OUR COMPANY HAVE A POSITIVE VISION FOR THE FUTURE BECAUSE …

Public health has now been brought to the forefront of so many people’s minds and our passion to help others is a value held by all IQ Solutions team members. As stewards of bringing critical public health knowledge to all – especially those who are in vulnerable communities – our team LOVES seeing the positive impact they have on the future. We strive to create a world where equitable access to health information is a right for all. We ensure that websites with health information are accessible to those of all abilities, that outreach goes beyond the screen, and we are physically in communities educating on critical health topics. Whether it is visiting schools or training mental health professionals after a disaster strikes a community, we envision a healthier future for all and we work to bring that to all populations every day.

Company Respect

WE SHOW RESPECT AND ENSURE THAT ALL VOICES ARE HEARD AND IDEAS ARE VALUED THROUGHOUT THE COMPANY BY …

Creating a company culture that actively incorporates inclusive communication and is accountable through diverse, equitable, and inclusive business development and employee growth practices. We encourage our employees to ask questions, to manage up, and to raise their hands when they have suggestions or feedback that may help improve processes. We held a Building Resilience series during the pandemic to help educate on unconscious bias and discuss the social justice events that were impacting team members – this has continued to this day through our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Employee Resource Group, which endeavors to ensure DEI is expressed in our culture, workplace policies, and impact on public health.

Company Support / Killer Outcomes

WE SUPPORT OUR EMPLOYEES IN ACHIEVING THEIR PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL GOALS BY …

Investing in our employees’ professional growth. Learning and growing is one of our core competencies. Whether it is an organic mentor/mentee relationship that forms where team members learn from their peers or whether it is financially supporting employees as they earn a graduate degree, we are committed to team members’ learning journey. We encourage attainment of professional certifications, and cover the costs of training materials, exams and renewal fees. We also promote weekly 1-1s and a formal check-in and annual review process where managers discuss goal setting with their direct reports can provide constructive development feedback to team members. We also offer an extensive library of free trainings through our Learning Management System.

Alignment of Values

OUR COMPANY’S VALUES ARE ALIGNED WITH OUR EMPLOYEES BECAUSE …

We walk our talk of public health. Our employees experience not only flexible hours but incredible wellness benefits because ensuring individuals lead happy and healthier lives is at our core. Whether it is a weekly meditation class, a hydration challenge to increase our water intake, or a virtual paint night to destress, we value our employees’ health and want them to maintain engagement with our mission, day-in and day-out. Further, just as we believe in health equity, we believe in equitable access to information internally. Our open-door policy allows for transparency around job growth, career trajectories and policy development.

Company Practices / Love

PROGRAMS AND PRACTICES WE GIVE TO OUR EMPLOYEES THAT CREATE A LOVED WORKPLACE ARE …

Quarterly wellness challenges, wellness reimbursements, weekly virtual yoga and meditation classes, and quarterly events, such as virtual paint nights, and happy hours are just a handful of programs that make us a loved workplace. We offer our employees a variety of opportunities to gather both in person and virtually throughout the year. These opportunities keep our employees engaged and allow them to connect outside of their daily responsibilities. Because we are a public health organization, many of our programs are centered around health and wellness. Our quarterly wellness challenges focus on different aspects of wellness; physical, mental, emotional, and financial where participants receive generous prizes for their participation. We also offer reimbursement for staying healthy and active throughout the year through our Wellness for Life program, and we created a series called “IQ in the Kitchen” where we share healthy, cultural recipes in a “cook along” style virtual meeting. We also utilize a Community (Facebook like) platform to connect employees on various topics, whether it is a group catered to parents or those who enjoy the outdoors, we strive to have employees build a community within the Company on non-work related interests. We reassess our program offerings annually and use employee feedback to create new offerings and modify existing ones.

CEO Strengths

OUR CEO SERVES AS A MODEL OF OUR COMPANY VALUES BY …

By sharing her story and her passion to serve others, our CEO inspires IQ Solutions team members to do the same. As a health educator, our CEO reminds us often that our goal is simple – to take care of people. This clear mission – to bring communities accurate health information that they can easily understand and use to make informed health decisions – is reiterated in our company meetings and stated in our annual corporate goals. Our CEO and the greater senior team ensure their accessibility internally to employees. All new hires are invited to a senior management meet-and greet shortly after joining. This emphasizes that leadership’s door is always open to connect. Our CEO believes in strong relationship building – so that ethos is top of mind internally and with external clients, resulting in high trust among colleagues and clients. As such, we have maintained client relationships for over 20 years due to the relationship building emphasis across our entire organization.

Benefits

EXAMPLES OF UNIQUE BENEFITS, BONUS, OR COMPENSATION WE PROVIDE ARE …

Unique wellness programs that focus on our team’s holistic health. Free virtual wellness classes, healthy cooking demos and paint nights are all part of the norm here. Further, we offer up to $250 in wellness bonuses for participating in quarterly wellness challenges and taking steps to stay healthy, like having your annual physical. Team members can also earn $250 annually for gym membership reimbursement. We offer two weeks of bereavement leave when an immediate family member passes away. And, to ensure our colleagues feel rewarded in the moment, we offer spot bonuses throughout the year to acknowledge when one goes above and beyond.
