We ensure that websites with health information are accessible to those of all abilities, that outreach goes beyond the screen, and we are physically in communities educating on critical health topics. Whether it is visiting schools or training mental health professionals after a disaster strikes a community, we envision a healthier future for all and we work to bring that to all populations every day.

As a health educator, our CEO reminds us often that our goal is simple – to take care of people. This clear mission – to bring communities accurate health information that they can easily understand and use to make informed health decisions – is reiterated in our company meetings and stated in our annual corporate goals. Our CEO and the greater senior team ensure their accessibility internally to employees. All new hires are invited to a senior management meet-and greet shortly after joining. This emphasizes that leadership’s door is always open to connect. Our CEO believes in strong relationship building – so that ethos is top of mind internally and with external clients, resulting in high trust among colleagues and clients. As such, we have maintained client relationships for over 20 years due to the relationship building emphasis across our entire organization.

Creating a company culture that actively incorporates inclusive communication and is accountable through diverse, equitable, and inclusive business development and employee growth practices. We encourage our employees to ask questions, to manage up, and to raise their hands when they have suggestions or feedback that may help improve processes. We held a Building Resilience series during the pandemic to help educate on unconscious bias and discuss the social justice events that were impacting team members – this has continued to this day through our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Employee Resource Group, which endeavors to ensure DEI is expressed in our culture, workplace policies, and impact on public health.

By building strong internal relationships, we are able to effectively collaborate to support our clients and offer unified solutions to their challenges. Our teams generally hold stand-up meetings on a daily or weekly basis so employees can connect and learn together. Functional areas like web development have Scrum meetings where they can share teachable moments. We also hold semi-annual all-company gatherings in-person where we connect, learn and build community together. Annually, our employees participate in IQ Do Good Day, going offsite and volunteering together in the community. We also utilize various technologies such as SharePoint and Microsoft Teams, engaging with each other in “cameras on” meetings and within documents to share and discuss projects.

Unique wellness programs that focus on our team’s holistic health. Free virtual wellness classes, healthy cooking demos and paint nights are all part of the norm here. Further, we offer up to $250 in wellness bonuses for participating in quarterly wellness challenges and taking steps to stay healthy, like having your annual physical. Team members can also earn $250 annually for gym membership reimbursement. We offer two weeks of bereavement leave when an immediate family member passes away. And, to ensure our colleagues feel rewarded in the moment, we offer spot bonuses throughout the year to acknowledge when one goes above and beyond.
