JWilliams Staffing offers a diverse, inviting, and supportive environment that nurtures teamwork and the development of unique opinions and ideas. Each team meets weekly at an open table discussion to review projects, issues, and ideas for that week. Our CEO has an open-door policy which invites the team to openly communicate and collaborate at the highest level. Our customer service team, executives and managers, onboarding, HR, marketing, and temporary staff are also communicating and collaborating daily to ensure our candidates’ and clients’ needs are met.
Learning and sharing is a core value at JWilliams Staffing. We provide a clear path to success for each employee and challenge them to learn new skills and grow through the Employee Development Plan they create with their manager. Our historical “promote from within” policy allows team members to see and feel the ability to grow within the company. Transparency from the top down with challenges (such as the COVID pandemic) and growth forecast also provide employees with a positive vision of where we are and where we plan to be as a company.
JWilliams Staffing looks to its employees for their feedback, opinions, and ideas through weekly meetings, annual strategy sessions and an “Open Door” policy of all management. We want our employees to know they are valued and heard in all aspects without judgement. Employees are given the opportunity to share their ideas for improvement throughout the year, and more formally at our annual strategic planning meeting. On average, 75% of these amazing ideas are put into effect. These helpful insights and recommendations lead to the betterment of our work, our team, and their lives.
Every employee works with their immediate supervisor to identify new goals and competencies regularly. The Employee Development Plan has a corporate sponsored component (classes, certifications, coaches). Supervisors provide encouragement, mentorship, and accountability for these goals to ensure continual growth. Employees are provided with opportunities to learn, paths to promotions, and incentives for reaching goals. We benefit as a company and as a team when we ensure our employees see their own value, learn by overcoming obstacles, and grow within their personal and professional lives.
Our core values are at the center of everything we do – professionalism, integrity, performance-driven, learning and sharing, and community giving – and they are CONTAGIOUS! Employees are hired and coached (though benchmark evaluations of performance) with our core values in mind. Team coaching and training is part of the 100 day plan to onboard successfully. Our Volunteer Time Off is a reflection of our commitment to “Community Giving” – a core value. Our team is fortunate enough to work and collaborate with a CEO who lives and breathes our company values and inspires the entire team every day to do the same.
Every year, we host a Strategic Planning Summit where our team is flown in from around the country to our corporate headquarters for a week of workshops, planning sessions, budget brainstorming, training, and team building events with keynote speakers, educators, and industry experts. Corporate activities during this week bring everyone together in unique learning and bonding experiences. Throughout the year, employees are also offered opportunities to attend industry events and workshops. These events inspire, encourage, and give employees something new to share with their team! We also offer monthly birthday celebrations, sponsored lunches, holiday celebrations, and charity drives.
CEO JoAnne Williams has embodied these values since childhood and is a reflection of them still today. PROFESSIONALISM: JoAnne is recognized across our industry as a professional thought leader in our space. LEARNING & SHARING: She passionately maintains involvement in the design of new employee development plans. PERFORMANCE DRIVEN: She is a focused and strategic leader who inspires high-performing teams which ensures the success of the company. INTEGRITY: Her transparency and strong moral principles set her and us apart as a trusted team. JWilliams Staffing offers 85% company sponsored healthcare, dental, and vision, and 100% sponsored life insurance. We provide progressive PTO benefits with the option to convert up to 1 week PTO into cash in November. JWilliams Staffing employees are also offered flexible hybrid/remote work options, paid Volunteer Time Off, commission with no cap (for positions with commission), and bonuses or rewards for audacious goals they set annually. Employees are given the opportunity to review their aspirations, goals, and performance in an annual meeting where they also discuss future goals and how they and the company can continue a mutually beneficial relationship.
Health, safety, and comfort are at the forefront of our priorities. During the pandemic, the CEO held a daily call for all employees and furloughed employees to stay connected and learn about the progress of COVID restrictions and necessary PPP funds to assist the business. We introduced pandemic-related policies and procedures to ensure a safe and comfortable environment, including a Return To Work policy, various exposure and sanitation protocols, and hybrid/remote work options. The company paid 1.5X pay to essential employees for 6 weeks, subsidized commissions, paid for benefits for furloughed workers, and hired back through the CA Workshare program.
As a recruitment and staffing firm, JWilliams Staffing helps empower professional candidates to achieve their career dreams while providing organizations with innovative staffing solutions in the Homebuilding and Property Management industries. We take a personalized approach in assessing and understanding the unique needs of our clients, and the individual strengths and career goals of our candidates, to ensure a winning match is found for both parties.
