Our task force titled ‘VOICE’ is where designated nominees from each department come together to raise queries, problems, requests, propositions, and ideas to the leadership team. Not only does this better our staff’s professional life and work environment, but it also integrates those from the leadership team to those in all aspects of the company. Meaning no stone is left unturned, and no problem is left to brew. It’s about doing the right thing, and being there for our own.
Our HR team offers monthly coaching sessions to give us that extra push and that extra bit of help and guidance to ensure we aim to be our best version of ourselves. Whether it’s a session of setting goals, or communicating worries, or needing a chat to clear the mind of discomfort and worries. With regular PDR meetings, each employee is set their own plan, tailored specifically to them. David Batchelor founded Wills & Trusts in 1992, using a sum of £9,000 he had inherited. He started the company with a mission to build and protect legacies for future generations and it has since grown to a team of 80 people, working with 600 families to ensure that their assets are not destroyed or taken away by unfair taxation, poorly drafted legislation and ill-thought-out regulation. With this in mind, it was David who sent the company full steam ahead with the Vivid Vision, our core values, and our strive to always do the right thing.
We could easily go into the more standard of benefits, but really we think you’d prefer to know about the benefits not every company thinks to offer; here a few: you will get your birthday off and should it fall on a weekend you will be able to take the Friday off instead, in fact, speaking of Fridays, you will get to finish early! Throughout the course of COVID, working from home was of course a major factor in our day-to-day abilities. We had selected individuals heading into the office on planned days of the week, while we also had many working from home being provided with screens, laptops, software, and various other requirements depending on each individual’s needs. Our Founder, David Batchelor, ensured that those who were put onto the furlough scheme were still paid in full, not just 80%, but also the added 20% by the company to support them through a time which was extremely tough for us all worldwide. So, we had the professional aspects running full steam ahead, but what about team morale? Well, Fridays became a frequent team day where we would jump onto a Zoom call and try different challenges, have general chats, enjoy Friday drinks, and try to keep human interaction (which was a thing of the past) as consistent as possible!
