We are shaping and implementing strategies and practices to formalize our behaviors, values, and beliefs, shape our desired culture, and evolve the organization toward that vision over time. Our firm commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is demonstrated by our leaders’ commitment to educating themselves on anti-racism and sponsoring our Associate Resource Groups. This commitment extends to our associates through LinkedIn’s Allyship Academy, which helps to create a common language and experience around DEI and what it means to AmeriHealth Caritas. In addition, our DEI function has launched the Brave Walk series to encourage vulnerable and transparent conversations across the organization.

OUR CEO SERVES AS A MODEL OF OUR COMPANY VALUES BY …

Kelly Munson assumed the role of CEO in February 2024. Kelly comes to AmeriHealth Caritas with a rich legacy of Medicaid expertise that aligns with our company values. Munson implemented new strategies to engage members and improve outcomes in her previous work. Additionally, she instituted programs to increase employee engagement, create advancement opportunities, and promote mission alignment across her last company. She also brings significant industry leadership through trade and advocacy organizations, including her service as:
• Chair of the Board of Directors of Medicaid Health Plans of America; and
• Member of the Board of Directors of the Institute for Medicaid Innovation.
Most importantly, she brings a member-centric approach that aligns with the mission and culture of AmeriHealth Caritas. She is a dynamic and collaborative leader with a true passion for advancing health equity and caring for underserved populations. Kelly hopes to continue this work at AmeriHealth Caritas.
