Research Methodology for Identifying the Top Most Loved Workplaces®

Creating a workplace where employees thrive requires a dynamic and supportive environment. Our research methodology prioritizes companies that foster strong leadership, engagement, and satisfaction across all levels. Here’s an overview of our meticulous process to identify the Most Loved Workplaces®:

Evaluation Process:

Step 1: Capturing Employee and Leadership Sentiment

  • Love of Workplace Index® (LOWI) and Executive Insights: We utilize the Love of Workplace Index® tool, supplemented by our machine learning tool, to measure the sentiment and emotions of employees and executives. This analysis includes factors such as leadership development, employee engagement, company culture, and support systems.

Step 2: Comprehensive Employee Surveys

  • We conduct detailed surveys among employees at participating organizations to assess their experiences and perceptions. These surveys focus on key areas such as leadership support, growth opportunities, workplace culture, and overall job satisfaction.

Step 3: Analysis of Public Perception and Company Practices

  • An in-depth review of publicly available information, including company websites, employee reviews, industry publications, and media coverage. We utilize sentiment and emotion analysis tools to gauge public perception and understand how the company is viewed in terms of employee treatment and workplace culture.

Step 4: Industry Recognition and Awards

  • We review published and validated awards or recognition received by the companies within the past 18 months. This step helps us identify organizations that have been acknowledged for their exceptional workplace practices and employee support initiatives.

Step 5: Validation and Scoring

  • Using our proprietary sentiment and emotion analysis tool, we calculate a unique “Employee Engagement and Support” rating for each company. The top-scoring companies are then recognized on the Most Loved Workplaces® list.

Key Elements of Our Analysis:

  • Sentiment and Emotion Analysis: We categorize employee feedback into sentiment (positive, neutral, negative) and specific emotions (love, gratitude, optimism, etc.). This helps in understanding the overall emotional landscape of the workplace.
  • Qualitative Feedback: Employees provide qualitative responses about what they love most about their workplace and what could be improved. These responses are analyzed for common themes and insights into the employee experience.
  • Quantitative Metrics: Surveys include quantitative questions across key content areas such as systemic collaboration, alignment of values, respect, and achievement of goals. These metrics provide a comprehensive view of the workplace environment.

By integrating these comprehensive steps and utilizing advanced analytics, we ensure that the companies recognized as Most Loved Workplaces® truly excel in creating environments where employees can thrive and feel genuinely connected to their organizations.
