Collaboration is one of our Values, demonstrated through several Employee Resource Groups as part of our DE&I mantra as well as committees such as the Reward & Recognition Committee and Employee Engagement Committee. In addition to the groups that span five countries and multiple US sites, we reside inside of MS Teams, leverage an amazing intranet site and have several internal communications events each month to make sure that connective tissue is strong.
Our work matters! We are fighting for patients and caregivers that have not had any solutions for the world's worst and rarest diseases. This video of just one of our senior leaders does a good job of capturing our "why;" https://youtu.be/IqDt8e2H3Ys.
Similar to the answer on collaboration above, we have several ERG's, Committees, communication platforms, and extremely active on internal/external social media. We also several a third-party engagement survey platform and consultants to make sure our teammates are heard and we take action on what they have to say in order to build an environment in which they can bring their whole selves and best selves to work every single day.
We have traditional items such as tuition reimbursement programs, training for leadership, tools such as IDP's, and will be launching a Professional Development Committee in the new year. We have also doubled our partnership with McLean & Co, LinkedinLearning and will be implementing Workday's Learning Management System (LMS) this next year.
...our patients and caregivers are anxiously awaiting the clinical outcomes we are focused on. For a summary of our vision, mission, and values, please visit this site; https://www.askbio.com/careers/,
We all support CCF (https://columbuschildren.org/who-we-are/), as our true north compass towards creating multiple gene therapy products across the spectrum of the world's worst and rarest diseases. We leverage McLean & Co to make sure our teammates have a voice in the design of solutions to create a Loved Workplace, and enable that voice through several committees, ERG's and communication platforms. I'm also very proud of how "present" and active our HR and Leadership teams are.
Sheila Mikhail is inspiring, coming from a humble background and as a Hispanic female, dominating a male-predominant industry as a multiple-time successful entrepreneur. We are also all aware of her amazing philanthropy through the Columbus Childrens Foundation - https://columbuschildren.org/who-we-are/.
One tremendous benefit is how much we pay for medical, vision, dental - >90% costs, which is about $16,000/employee. This is considered platinum for corporate benefits. Another example is investing in Workday, the world's leading HR tech platform. This investment is ultra-rare for a company of our size. Lastly, our long-term incentive/equity plan is very special, as it's designed to be a real cash grant based on achieving specific milestones and NOT the typical market-based program which is likely not yielding positive results this year for publicly traded companies.
