Strong Communities of Practice that bring together experts in each field to share ideas, create innovative solutions that improve the lives of neurodiverse people and make workplaces more neuroinclusive.
auticon is a proud social innovator. Our achievements are testament to what a neurodiverse organisation can achieve. We are grateful for the recognition that our work has received internationally over the years and for the growing trust that our customers and investors place in us.
We also know that there is much work to do still. While we see greater emphasis than before on diversity, equity and inclusion, there is poor awareness of autism and not near enough appreciation for neurodiversity. This state of affairs only serves to strengthen our resolve to do and achieve more as advocates of neurodiversity.
We are excited about the next decade and the opportunities that we have ahead of us.
We are a company with diverse people who think differently. It is a place where everyone is accepted and celebrated for who they are, a place buzzing with new ideas and creative energy. Most of all, auticon is a place that leads by example as it helps workplaces become diverse, inclusive and innovative.
We foster a culture of open and honest communication. We ensure that we harness the diverse skills and abilities of all our people by engaging a multitude of internal groups in the design of new products, services as well as internal processes. Most of all, we stay away from needless hierarchy and take a human-centred approach to decision-making.
Our job coaches work with each consultant to support them with a person-centred plan for their personal wellbeing and ability to thrive at work.
A coach individually supports our autistic IT consultants to ensure positive sense of well-being, development and efficiency at work, but also their successful collaboration with our client teams and other team members. an essential element of the coaching relationship is to foster self-advocacy to build the confidence of consultants in managing barriers or challenges for themselves rather than forming an over-reliance on the coach to resolve situations.
We also have Technical Managers who will work closely with the consultants to provide technical guidance where necessary and build individualised career progression plans.
Our vision is to create equal employment opportunities for autistic people. 2021 marked auticon’s 10 year anniversary. Much has changed for us in the last decade. We have grown into a global organisation with 22 offices across 8 countries; our pioneering idea is now a proven model for employment of autistic adults; our work with customers in different sectors and geographies is not only creating an increasing number of employment opportunities for autistic professionals, but also enabling organisations to tap into high-quality talent pools.
What remains unchanged however is our commitment to create an inclusive employment landscape for autistic people and the neurodivergent community at large. As a neurodiverse organisation, auticon is always buzzing with new ideas and creative energy to build innovative solutions that can help autistic people thrive in the workplace. This is what fires our social innovation engine - our people. auticon's employees share the same vision and social impact values and bring the expertise, passion and can-do spirit to make the world more neuro-inclusive.
