Change.org is the world’s largest tech platform for people-powered, social change. Half a billion people across 196 countries use our technology-driven petition and campaign tools to speak up on issues they’re passionate about. 70,000 petitions are created on Change.org monthly.
The nonprofit Change.org Foundation oversees the Change.org Public Benefit Corporation (PBC), a wholly owned corporate subsidiary focused on technology, innovation and growth; and the Change.org charitable programs empowering the most marginalized communities globally. This hybrid structure combines the ambition and growth trajectory of a tech company with the mission-focused stewardship of a nonprofit.

…developing and delivering the tools, resources and support needed to empower anyone, anywhere to create the change they want to see in the world.
…we have a shared vision for creating a world where no one is powerless and creating change is part of everyday life.
…fostering an open culture where people feel safe to express their opinions and where people are encouraged to demonstrate empathy while always assuming the best in people. We proactively offer guidance and best practices to senior managers around ensuring they create safe spaces that prioritize the voices of nondominant groups and those who have historically been marginalized by more dominant groups. Our work to embed and advance diversity, equity and inclusion is a foundational building block in enabling and driving the organization’s mission.
…thoughtfully creating programs, practices and processes that enable everyone to live up to their potential, at every level, in every line of work and whoever they are.
…they help us to shape our values as a reflection of the type of company they want to work for. We then use those shared values as foundational guiding posts throughout the hiring process as new employees join us.
…our robust, industry leading onboarding program that engages and empowers them to be successful and feel valued in their roles even before their first day; our Peakon employee surveys that give an easy and anonymous channel to provide ongoing feedback and updates on their work experience so that we can continually assess and adjust to create a great place to work; regular fun engagements to maintain connection even in a virtual environment (e.g., bake-offs, pie design contests, book clubs, Slack interest groups, 30 minute rotating Zoom “Donut” chats that connect people across offices and countries to meet people they don’t usually work with, and more!)
…leading through transparency, believing feedback is a gift (both in giving and receiving), being actively involved in collaboration, implementing clear decision making processes, promoting forward looking goals and championing the mission every day!
…unlimited PTO that we REALLY use, encourage and honor so that people can fully disconnect whenever they need to and refresh in order to bring their best selves to work; a monthly $200 “community fund” per employee to be used at their discretion for purchases and services to promote wellness and employee joy (e.g., spa treatments, fitness equipment, meals, blue light glasses, candles, work-from-home set up, and more!)
Prior to the pandemic, our Community Funds were used to support a variety of office activities (team meals, social outings, etc), but we expanded its use to a $200 monthly stipend to be used at an employee’s discretion (within some general guidelines) to promote wellness and employee joy; we expanded our work-from-home equipment options allowing staff to expense what they needed to feel most comfortable working remotely; offered free Modern Health virtual and confidential therapy for employees; provided regular guidance and support resources, including financial support through our COVID Caregiver Support program for those providing in-home care to loved ones, etc.
