Our very nature. We have a highly collaborative culture—everything from collaboration spaces and tech tools to our annual hack-a-thon, Inkovate that puts collaboration front and center and internal awards that recognize and celebrate the work of teams across the company.
We ignite a sense of belonging with the surprising power of custom apparel and products. We help communities of all kinds show what brings them together as they celebrate, build connections, or make a difference. We measure our own success by the happiness, growth, and impact we help create.
Our Diversity & Belonging efforts are essential to our core values and led by Inkers. We believe people should be united by shared purpose—not divided by prejudice and discrimination—and we strive to be a role model and champion for that.
Going beyond development with innovative programs. Our internal internships offer team members (or Inkers as we call ourselves) the chance to explore new areas of the business for a few months, risk free, to build new skills, gain exposure, and broaden their perspective on the business.
When our Core Values were created, it wasn’t a result of brainstorming sessions, well executed work streams, or even by design; they were created by celebrating the way Inkers organically worked—Golden Rule, Ownership, and Innovation. It only took us a decade to figure out it spelled GrOwIn.
Inkers share their love by giving WOW’s—messages of praise sent through our internal system. Marie Kondo and Scott Sonenshein even mentioned it in their book, Joy at Work. They liked our detailed notes, writing, “Specificity conveys sincerity and shows that you’re really paying attention.”
Hearing and caring about our team’s ideas, needs, and experience. Whether understanding and addressing organizational challenges, growth and improvement opportunities, or pandemic-related disruption, Marc makes a point of seeking team input and considering it in his plans and decisions.
From free prescriptions, a 24/7 virtual doctor, five weeks personal leave, gender equity benefits, a personal loan program, and adoption and infertility support—we offer benefits that go above and beyond for our team because it’s the right thing to do.
The future of work at Custom Ink is hybrid—blending remote, in-person, and flexible alternatives. We have COVID sick pay, PTO for COVID vaccines, interest-free loans, $0 co-pay for telehealth (including mental health), and more to support Inkers throughout the pandemic.
