About The Company

Delt Shared Services exists to help public sector organisations do amazing things. By delivering integrated support services, Delt enables their partners and customers to focus on what matters most: supporting their communities.

Delt was founded in 2014 to provide IT services to Plymouth City Council and the Northern, Eastern and Western Devon Clinical Commissioning Group (now part of NHS Devon). Built as a cross-sector shared service, Delt supports both local government and health organisations. This model has enabled the company to grow by more than 300% since formation. What began with 90 employees delivering a single IT service has grown into a workforce of 300+ people, supporting over 100 organisations and delivering more than 10 integrated services.

Delt is renowned for reinvesting profits into public sector owners, with over £5 million returned in dividends, enhancing local NHS services, schools, and elderly support.

The organisation fosters a people-centric culture, understanding that a 'happy, healthy, and engaged' workforce is key to success. An active event and social committee organises activities like sports days and charity quizzes, enriching the workplace experience. In response to the cost-of-living crisis, Delt Shared Services introduced initiatives such as guest speakers for financial advice and an app for flexible pay access. The focus on employee growth is evident with a 450% increase in learning and development, offering fully-funded professional courses and an online platform with over 25,000 learning assets.

Delt Shared Services's commitment to sustainability is showcased through its partnership with Electrotek Solutions Ltd., achieving zero waste to landfill and supporting local charities. The organisation’s fleet transition to electric vehicles further demonstrates its dedication to reducing carbon footprints. Through its comprehensive benefits package, including mental health support and wellness resources, Delt invests in its employees' wellbeing.

By embodying values like integrity, empowerment, and innovation, it continues to support more than 300 local jobs and generate an annual socio-economic impact of over £24 million.
