Dominic Ng, president, chairman, and CEO, has led East West Bank since 1992, shepherding its growth from a small savings and loan institution in Southern California to a commercial bank with over $70 billion in assets. His vision and example inspires associates to collaborative effort and sustained success.

East West Bank fosters mutual respect among its associates. The company hires, develops and promotes associates based on merit, and provides an open, supportive, and inclusive working environment. Entrepreneurial Mindset: An entrepreneurial mindset is the core of East West Bank’s culture. A value for simplicity encourages associates to find practical solutions to complex problems, and team members know their efficiency is prized as vital to the company’s success.

Accountability: East West Bank believes in accountability. Rather than pass on a problem, those who identify an issue work to quickly solve it. Everyone accepts responsibility for their own actions and takes ownership of their personal decisions, benefitting from each other’s reliability.

Attention to Detail: East West Bank values a focus on detail, encouraging conscious effort to understand root causes rather than observing effects. In this environment, team members think analytically and systematically, making decisions that are informed by research and data. Associates have a deep understanding of not just what the company does, but why and how those things are done.

Win-Win Customer Relationships: Associates are empowered to create positive customer experiences and form win-win relationships. A focus on listening to better understand client needs helps employees continually exceed customer expectations, enjoying the esteem of those they serve.

Pride of Ownership: From bottom to top, associates possess a vested interest in collective high performance and success, treating the company like it’s their own. When it comes to helping others, they overdeliver, knowing that their efforts support the success of East West Bank as a whole.
