Prices for medicines have been rising for decades, often to the detriment of those who need them. We are changemakers that believe there’s a better way. We embrace an environment where individual experiences, backgrounds and perspectives are more than encouraged – they’re necessary.
Our management team routinely holds Town Halls in which employees are encouraged to ask questions – both live during the meeting and through anonymous submission platforms. Topics are not censored or limited to “easy” questions in any way. This empowers employees to be themselves, seek answers and understand that their opinions and thoughts matter.
Additionally, our CSuite holds regular “SLT Time” meetings in which they answer employees’ questions and have open discussion. This further reminds employees that, regardless of level, we are all in this together and we’re empowered to be ourselves and think outside of the box.

Across EQRx, we are a rich tapestry of individuals, each of us bringing something unique to our team, like the different squares within a patchwork quilt. To celebrate our individuality and the powerful way we come together as one collective community, we have designed, created, and sewn together what we’ve termed a “tapestory”. This tapestory proudly displays our individual stories and the people who are a part of EQRx’s growing history. We asked our teammates, “if you could think of one object that tell us more about who you are, and a part of your story, what would it be?” This information morphed into a beautifully illustrated and embroidered square within our EQRx Tapestory. Our physical and digital tapestory will continue to grow as our team grows, with each new teammate comes new stories, perspectives, and backgrounds.

EQRx launched in January 2020, just before the world shut down for the pandemic. The company has been built virtually through the pandemic, growing from 25 people in March 2020 to now more than 300!
Our team is geographically spread out, but together, we’ve cultivated a “virtual-first” approach to working, with digital collaboration tools integrated into our day-to-day work, and our virtual “HQ” intranet and virtual forums that help to keep our employees informed and engaged.
We also created a policy called “T30” – Tuesday, Thursday Time Off – to help combat the Zoom fatigue, where our team has designated time to step away from their computer, run an errand, or have some time for themselves. We trust our team to get their work done – no matter where they are. We also have many fun virtual activities like happy hours, volunteer events, and even some awesome SWAG gifts. We needed to find a way to still achieve those meaningful interactions that are harder to come by in a virtual world, so that’s exactly what we did.
