Experian

Why Experian IS A MOST LOVED WORKPLACE®

Systemic Collaboration

EMPLOYEES COLLABORATE THROUGHOUT OUR COMPANY BY …

championing our ‘One Experian’ mind-set – we work as one united team and use the combined strengths and capabilities of our people, products and services across teams, functions and regions. This translates into seamless experiences for our customers.

Positive Vision of the Future

EMPLOYEES AT OUR COMPANY HAVE A POSITIVE VISION FOR THE FUTURE BECAUSE …

we are a business built on trust, and we’re passionate about being a positive force in our communities and in the world. Our innovative products and services help people to take better control of their lives – protecting them and helping them make the right decisions to create a better future for themselves and their families. We’re always looking for new opportunities to help our clients and consumers whilst promoting causes close to our heart.

Company Respect

WE SHOW RESPECT AND ENSURE THAT ALL VOICES ARE HEARD AND IDEAS ARE VALUED THROUGHOUT THE COMPANY BY …

We recognise that naturally there may be roles in Experian that lend themselves more obviously to innovating, but we strongly believe that everyone should have the ability to innovate and it’s not a privilege held only within specific jobs. One of our core programmes that celebrates innovation from all employees is EmPower. EmPower is a range of process improvement methodologies whereby employees spot something in the business that they’d like to fix, improve or they simply have a new, great idea they’d like to bring to life. The beauty of EmPower is the idea doesn’t then sit at someone’s doorstep in a backlog of work. Employees are encouraged to be trained themselves in one of many continuous improvement methodologies so they can not only implement that initial idea in isolation, they can also be innovation advocates and take the skills they’ve developed into future projects.

Company Support / Killer Outcomes

WE SUPPORT OUR EMPLOYEES IN ACHIEVING THEIR PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL GOALS BY …

We have made big strides in how we enable people to reach their full potential during their time at Experian. We encourage our employees to be curious, to find what drives them and pursue it. We’ve invested in our learning and development platforms and solutions, designing unique blended learning solutions for holistic development with an aim to help our people to do their current job well and build readiness for the future. Our global Career Hub is an internal portal, a one-stop-shop for employee career growth and holistic development needs. It helps identify skills gaps, and provide career coaching, learning channels, gigs, academies, bootcamps and university curriculums to our people. Employees can view and compare aspirational roles and take up learning opportunities to enhance their skills.

Alignment of Values

OUR COMPANY’S VALUES ARE ALIGNED WITH OUR EMPLOYEES BECAUSE …

Wherever we are in the world, whatever part of the business we work in, we all share the same purpose and beliefs. We have a unique and consistent way of working globally, we call it “The Experian Way”. It informs how our people act and behave, which shapes our culture. We embrace diversity and appreciate different perspectives and the unique value each of us brings. We are inquisitive to learn from each other. That’s the Experian way.

Company Practices / Love

PROGRAMS AND PRACTICES WE GIVE TO OUR EMPLOYEES THAT CREATE A LOVED WORKPLACE ARE …

- Our Global Career Hub is a one-stop shop for employee career growth and holistic development needs
- Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) that provide support for employees' personal and professional goals and are instrumental in implementing new policies and programmes that benefit all our employees
- Global Future of Work programme, giving people more choice in the way they work
- Global Wellbeing Hub including access to Mental Health First aiders
- Regular engagement surveys to understand where we have opportunities to improve employee experience

CEO Strengths

OUR CEO SERVES AS A MODEL OF OUR COMPANY VALUES BY …

championing The Experian Way. We support and invest in each other to help everyone achieve their potential and aspirations - our leadership teams are at the heart of that approach. Our high-performance philosophy is based around employees having two-three goals at one time allowing people to prioritise the work that will have the most impact. Goals are determined from business strategy meaning that our employee’s work is directly linked to the growth of the business. We’re an organisation driven by a strong purpose, so we know our employees seeing their personal impact is critical to success. At the heart of our performance approach is employees having one ‘dominant’ goal at one time. This is typically a big, bold, ambitious goal that stretches employees to achieve beyond what they thought was ever possible. Everyone has one, even our CEO.

Benefits

EXAMPLES OF UNIQUE BENEFITS, BONUS, OR COMPENSATION WE PROVIDE ARE …

We recognise that a long-standing commitment to mental health is absolutely imperative, including:
- Preventative core support and training for employees
- mental health awareness for people leaders
- Employee Assistance Programmes
- Mindfulness programmes.

Our benefits aim to promote and improve employee’s physical and financial wellbeing too. For example, in the UK&I we extended private medical insurance with Bupa from senior graded employees to all employees. We have free 24 hour access to doctors available for all people, a Bike4work scheme to help employees buy bicycles, and GymFlex: discounted gym memberships and a full health assessment amongst other benefits.

Our financial wellbeing benefits include access to Cushon ISAs (a range of online ISAs including investment ISAs that can help employees to save money straight from their salary). We also run a Financial Hardship Fund: employees can donate to a pot which then offers grants to help colleagues going through unexpected financial hardship. Since 2022, we have teamed up with Octopus MoneyCoach, so every employee in the UK now has their own financial coach. Since the program rolled out, 20% of Experian’s UK employees have booked a call with their finance coach.
