Through giving back and volunteerism, all employees giving of their time and resources. Fairway supports our local communities – nationwide. We have founded 3 main charities. Fairway Foundation aids and supports those in need, helping victims of hurricanes, tornadoes, floods and fires, those who have suffered personal tragedy. Fairway Cares was created to benefit Fairway families and friends who have a critical illness, sustained physical trauma or lost a loved one. Employees support Fairway cares with their time, packing care packages and donations. Fairway’s American Warrior Initiative has donated over 300 service dogs and provided grants to hundreds of veterans.

Our leadership team hosts frequent meetings, company wide web meetings and regional events where our CEO and leaders meet with employees to strategize and solve problems, streamline processes, and enhance communication. Our CEO and leaders encourage employees to speak up, be a part of the process to fix any issues. We host email groups to encourage communication company wide, help with loan level or HR issues. We have an HR partner team to provide consultation to managers and employees, we have an Employee Assistance Program to help employees. Frequent meetings, phone calls, emails help ensure all voices are heard, valued.
Providing leadership training classes and opportunities, professional skills courses, professional development opportunities, training on skills and resources to help our sales personnel and operations personnel and others enhance their ability to communicate with our clients and be of service to them. We employ trainers and coaches and give our employees opportunities to be coached and led to perfect new skills and enhance their lives and work. We have our own coaching company that helps with these initiatives, and outside resources are brought in frequently to help. We provide leadership development classes called “Lead Strong” to aid leaders and aspiring leaders.

We pay our employees very well, above the market rate in most cases. We provide our employees with 7 employee resource groups to belong to, and more being added all the time. He believes in giving back, he stays humble no matter how successful he is or our company is. He reaches out to provide an amazing experience to our employees, wishing them a happy birthday or work anniversary, congratulating employees who achieve success or are recognized for their efforts. We often say to each other and to him, in response ‘who does that?’ and our answer is, Steve does. In 2022 our Employee Relief Program helped 25 individuals with 31 separate financial awards, a total of $96,126.06. During COVID our CEO gifted each employee who had been with the company one year a piece of professional grade exercise equipment so that we might be healthy while working from home – at a cost of millions of dollars.
