Our response to COVID-19

We initiated programs to strengthen safety protocols and address unique professional, financial, medical, and personal challenges presented by the pandemic.
• We addressed employees’ financial challenges and overall well-being – partly via childcare and eldercare stipends, as well as emergency pay totaling over $96 million.
• We recruited employee volunteers to assist in areas most in need, providing training, licensures, and travel for over 2,000 volunteers.
• We shifted 25,000 employees to a work-from-home schedule, implementing new data privacy practices, a revamped virtual private network solution, 1,000 new laptops, and upgraded infrastructure for optimal remote performance.
• To show appreciation for our care teams, corporate employees “adopted” clinic locations throughout the country to share random acts of kindness with.
