Learning and Development has always played a major role in our people strategy. We place a particular emphasis on developing management and leadership skills, most recently having designed and delivered a 12 month in-house People Manager program. A select number of this cohort have taken this a step further and also nearing completion of a Level 3 Award in Management and Leadership accredited by the Chartered Management Institute and run by an external provider. We have a Competency Framework designed to support personal objectives which feeds into recruitment, appraisals and progression. The development of technical skills is also highly supported with excellent in-house training and we support a number of our people with professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIPD, CIM, and Cert CII. Informally we host Lunch and Learn sessions open to all colleagues.
