To better understand each other and how to be better allies, Horizon’s RiSE approach to diversity, inclusion, equity and allyship features an annual RiSE Day of Understanding. This year’s event included an “Ask Me Anything” panel in which employees asked provocative questions to three panelists with diverse backgrounds. Throughout the year employees are encouraged to engage in our nine diverse employee communities where community members and allies can come together to foster community and build diverse networks across the organization. In Horizon’s 2022 employee engagement survey, responses were significantly above the top quartile benchmark for “I am comfortable voicing my ideas and opinions, even if they are different from others” and “People from diverse backgrounds can succeed at Horizon.”
