Lakeland Regional Health is a major, community-based health system in Central Florida that was founded in 1916 as Morrell Hospital. Today, it is one of Florida's largest hospitals with 910 beds and the second-largest private employer in Polk County, with over 7,000 employees and a medical staff of more than 700.
