We are making great strides to take Flippy to the next level. He is all over the news, next door to us, we just opened the first fully autonomous restaurant called CaliExpress by Flippy that’s, very soon, going to be open to the public. Our CEO, Rich Hull, has frequent town hall meetings where we discuss where we are as a company, whether we met the goals we set for ourselves, and what the next steps are. He is open, transparent, and willing to take questions and listen to feedback, both in the meetings and through the company’s open door policy.

The people at our company are pretty awesome. People are helpful, enjoy working together, and collaborate seamlessly to solve problems. But we make mistakes sometimes too, so when we do, we try to fail fast. If we miscast someone in their role, we own it and we collaborate with the employee to help them find a role either within Miso or elsewhere where they can be a better fit. This allows our employees to know that our focus is on their success, even if occasionally that success isn’t at Miso (although we really hope it is!)

Company activities, like ping-pong tournaments, lunch and learns, employee birthday and milestone event recognition, free food in the lab cooked by our robot chefs. All employees have company equity, allowing for each to feel ownership in the successes, which along with the culture of transparency means we have a team who are engaged and focused on the success of Miso and each other. We have flexible time off, we offer a flexible and hybrid work environment (come into the office a few days a week when it most makes sense), and we try to keep things fun. About the Company

Miso Robotics is transforming the food industry, and making lives better. We’ve developed an AI-powered kitchen robot named Flippy which automates repetitive kitchen tasks, such as operating a deep fryer. Flippy is fun to watch, but under the hood, he’s powered by a sophisticated AI platform – driven by our proprietary deep learning experience and patented technologies.
