We believe that Rackers are valued members of a winning team on an inspiring mission, and we work hard to create an environment that encourages Rackers to be their authentic selves and share their unique background and perspectives. We seek and action on Racker feedback through our anonymized RackerPulse annual engagement and monthly pulse surveys. We also host small group Racker Chats that offer Rackers all around the world an opportunity to connect with senior leaders and each other for non-structured group conversations. We are committed to diversity, inclusion, and belonging at all levels of the organization, and we operate on the foundation that all Rackers, potential Rackers, customers, vendors, business partners and guests are treated with respect, and are not discriminated against based on who they are. Company Support / Killer Outcomes

WE SUPPORT OUR EMPLOYEES IN ACHIEVING THEIR PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL GOALS BY …

Innovation is the answer to growth; you can’t continue to grow a company without also investing in development opportunities for employees. Rackspace Technology has a number of programs that foster employee development. Rackspace University, our in-house talent development department, helps Rackers build the skills our business needs while developing their careers. We take Expertise seriously, and we encourage Rackers to pursue it through our 52+ Hours of Learning program, which challenges Rackers to invest in at least 52 hours on intentional learning and development each year. We also have development programs like our Global Leadership Program for emerging senior leaders, our Technical Onboarding Program, which leads Rackers through 90 days of full-time, immersive training that reskills Rackers in high-growth areas of the business while changing the course of their careers.

Alignment of Values

OUR COMPANY’S VALUES ARE ALIGNED WITH OUR EMPLOYEES BECAUSE …

Our approach — which we’ve branded Fanatical Experience™ — is at the heart of everything we do and it’s a primary reason many Rackers join the company. It is how we care for customers, one another, our communities, and our planet. It’s our way of helping to make the world a better place. Fanatical Experience is defined by five core values: Excellence, Customer-driven, Expertise, Agility, and Compassion. Though the actions and behaviors we value have evolved as our business has evolved, Fanatical Experience has guided us from our earliest days. We showcase Fanatical Experience by recognizing and celebrating Rackers that demonstrate our core values! We encourage Racker-to-Racker recognition, and each quarter, we award our peer-nominated Racker to the Core, which recognizes Rackers around the world for their core values-driven commitment and achievements.

Company Practices / Love

PROGRAMS AND PRACTICES WE GIVE TO OUR EMPLOYEES THAT CREATE A LOVED WORKPLACE ARE …

One of Rackspace’s co-founders once said, “What we all want from work is to be valued members of a winning team on an inspiring mission.” When the other co-founders of the company heard that phrase, something clicked, and our employee value proposition was born. This value proposition has since been a driving factor from our early days, pushing Rackers to create a world class corporate culture. We lean into programs and practices to make Rackers feel valued, like our investment into a Strengths-based culture, which helps Rackers understand and harness their unique strengths. Our Rack Gives Back program gives Rackers around the world at least 40 hours of paid time off to volunteer with organizations and causes they care about. Racker Chats and Mentor Circles help Rackers create connections with leaders across the business. Spotlight and Racker to the Core help us recognize and celebrate Rackers for living our core values. These programs join a host of others that help us deliver a Fanatical Racker Experience!

CEO Strengths

OUR CEO SERVES AS A MODEL OF OUR COMPANY VALUES BY …

It takes dedication and commitment to our company’s core values to lead by example and have that example trickle down through all levels of leadership. Kevin Jones, CEO, has made Rackers a priority. He shows his dedication to their success through investment in an extensive variety of development and people programs that make Rackspace a loved workplace for Rackers all around the world. Our response to COVID-19

Like much of the world, our employee population quickly pivoted to remote working at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. A year in, we surveyed our employees to understand what they wanted in the “new normal,” and we learned clearly that our Rackers appreciated the flexibility remote work provided. In response, we created an Agile Ways of Working policy, which allows Rackers to co-design their location and schedule strategies to best meet the needs of our customers and our Rackers. We’ve moved fully to a hybrid working model, in which the majority of our employees will never report to a Rackspace Technology office. In 2020, we also increased the amount of volunteer time we provide to our Rackers globally from 24 to 40 hours and included COVID vaccinations in the list of acceptable volunteer opportunities to encourage our Rackers to look after their wellbeing. Knowing that it could be difficult to take time off when there was nowhere to go, we also implemented period wellness days, during which we shut down the business as much as possible to encourage Rackers to step away and take care of their own wellbeing. While being fully remote certain has its challenges, it has also allowed us to increase the reach and frequency of many of our signature programs like Racker Chats, our Global Speaker Series, and mentoring programs.
