Why RareMed Solutions IS A MOST LOVED WORKPLACE®

Systemic Collaboration

EMPLOYEES COLLABORATE THROUGHOUT OUR COMPANY BY …

Collaboration is fundamental to RareMed’s culture—half of our values engender collaborative interactions. Digital platforms, cross-functional teams, regular check-ins, knowledge sharing programs, celebration of individual and group successes, and a culture that catalyzes discourse and idea-sharing foster unity, innovation, efficiency, and an environment of mutual support and growth. Employees are encouraged to continuously provide and solicit feedback and ideas. Our facility, comprised largely of collaborative spaces, serves as a “city center” of our geographically-diverse team, where employees are encouraged to travel to the site for opportunities to collaborate in-person and share ideas. Focusing on the “team” over the individual drives our continued success.

Positive Vision of the Future

EMPLOYEES AT OUR COMPANY HAVE A POSITIVE VISION FOR THE FUTURE BECAUSE …

RareMed’s success is fueled by the successes of our team and is inherently tied to the success of each individual. There is alignment between team members’ ability to drive value and the resultant visible positive impact the company has on their lives. As the company’s values-driven reputation is its biggest growth-driving asset, every individual knows that they can have an impact on our success and drive both individual and mutual success by living RareMed’s values. This alignment and transparency cultivate a strong positive vision for the future for every team member that believes in the mission.

Company Respect

WE SHOW RESPECT AND ENSURE THAT ALL VOICES ARE HEARD AND IDEAS ARE VALUED THROUGHOUT THE COMPANY BY …

RareMed is an institution that fights for patients whose voices are often unheard. As such, inclusion across all dimensions is fundamental to our culture. We encourage discourse, feedback, and idea sharing across all team members, regardless of background, title, or experience. Leaders operate with visible, bookable schedules and open doors. Town halls provide open forums for thought-sharing and unparalleled transparency.

Company Support / Killer Outcomes

WE SUPPORT OUR EMPLOYEES IN ACHIEVING THEIR PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL GOALS BY …

We empower our team to achieve their personal and professional goals by creating opportunities to generate personal successes through professional initiatives. Through programs like Rare Future Leaders, a 6-month leadership development program tailored for first-time leaders, offering mentorship, interactive learning, and group work, as well as individual development plans and advanced leadership curriculum, RareMed gives employees the ability to cultivate their talent, and ready themselves for their next steps in life. Concurrently, we promote work-life balance through things like our volunteer programs, our on-site gymnasium and game room, and a hybrid workplace that affords individuals flexibility to pursue personal passions alongside professional pursuits.

Alignment of Values

OUR COMPANY’S VALUES ARE ALIGNED WITH OUR EMPLOYEES BECAUSE …

At RareMed, our values are the foundation of all that we do. We emphasize respectful culture through employee recognition, empowerment, and rewarding our team members for their success and accomplishments. We live up to our commitment to supportive ambition through growth and development opportunities, internal promotions and hiring from within, and by creating pathways for our people to succeed. Ultimately, our values are aligned with our team members because our team members believe in our mission and work relentlessly to support it and our patients.

Company Practices / Love

PROGRAMS AND PRACTICES WE GIVE TO OUR EMPLOYEES THAT CREATE A LOVED WORKPLACE ARE …

We create a Loved Workplace for our employees through a myriad of engagement, connection, and growth-focused initiatives. Through initiatives such as our “Rare Future Leaders” career development program, our “RareSpace” internal social media platform, our hyper-transparent Ask-the-CEO opportunities at town halls, our Paid Volunteer Time Off program, our flexible work environment, our facility amenities like a game room and gymnasium, and our performance standards that are based on our values, we work to maintain a culture of connection, support, and continuous improvement amongst every team member at every level of our company that ultimately fosters employee satisfaction.

CEO Strengths

OUR CEO SERVES AS A MODEL OF OUR COMPANY VALUES BY …

Thinking Disruptively: Dr. Gordon Vanscoy encourages team members to think beyond perceived barriers to focus on patients and HCPs needs holistically. Identifying innovative end-state solutions that help underserved populations create fantastic opportunities and generate motivation to think creatively, but in line with our values.
Creating Challenging, Attainable, Desirable Goals: He holds his team to high standards, but those standards are built collaboratively, aligned with organization values, and designed to push the organization to go out of its comfort zone in support of the values.
Empowerment and Accountability: Dr. Vanscoy is open-minded, collaborative, and supportive of his team. He empowers them to take responsibility, make decisions, provide suggestions, and collaboratively discuss the future of the organization. But he also holds his team accountable. Though he is supportive to the end, he tacitly expects that team members rise to the same level of drive and fortitude that has generated historical corporate, team, and patient success.

Benefits

EXAMPLES OF UNIQUE BENEFITS, BONUS, OR COMPENSATION WE PROVIDE ARE …

Aside from our culture, competitive benefits packages, and strong compensation, RareMed provides unique ways for employees to prosper. RareMed’s internal social media platform allows team members to share thank you’s to each other, assigning monetary value to acknowledgements using our internal currency, “RareCoin”. Thousands of RareCoin shared and distributed between employees per month on this platform. RareCoin creates a way for every employee and manager to help make a financial impact in the lives of team members for going above and beyond in small ways. Though a few RareCoin here and there may seem small, they add up over the course of a year and can be exchanged for gift cards, RareMed gear, or just added to a reloadable debit card! We also recently introduced a Paid Volunteer Time Off program, where we provide paid time for employees to volunteer at causes of their choosing.
