We provide resources as well as an environment where growth is not only encouraged, but required! Our growing number of merchants and customers has required employees to step up, take on more, and become leaders within the organization quickly. As we have focused on training so many new merchants, we’ve built programs to train our employees and new managers and have fostered a culture of learning from each other. New employees get to attend a customer activation session or a ride along in the field to understand exactly how the Sunbit product comes to life. Our monthly all company meeting is open to all employees. Because we are a culture of connecting genuinely, there are many opportunities for team members to be included and involved, and to show up fully as themselves. This type of culture allows for professional and personal growth alike.

Our CEO, Arad Levertov, walks the talk. He shows up and treats every single employee he interacts with respect and care. He continues to meet with new employees one-on-one to get to know them as a whole person. He is passionate and committed to making sure that everything we do for our employees, customers, and merchants is for the greater good and staying true to our mission. You can always find walking the floors of the office, doing a field visit, or having a virtual one-on-one chat with a team member just because they asked. Arad is as accessible as a CEO can be. He never misses a chance to greet someone, and it’s very clear that he shows up to the office every day to work hard and collaborate with others. Our origin stories are rooted in our values. Shopping with his kids at Costco, he applied for and was denied a Costco credit card (as he did not have a credit history as an immigrant). He recognized that this type of experience is unfortunately commonplace in America. Along with our co-founders, he created Sunbit to bring access to financing to more people through innovation and compassion.
From get-well baskets to commuter supplements (to recognize inflation in gas prices in the Southern California market), we have a variety of programs to support our teams. In addition, we provide Sunbit BNPL access to our team members through our Sunbit card. We’re proud to offer each member of our team stock options as it’s vital to us that each employee feels a strong sense of ownership. Our 401K program allows employees to begin saving for retirement at the onset of their employment.
The health and safety of our team members is our top priority at Sunbit. While our entire team was moved to a fully remote workforce during the height of the pandemic, for teams who do not provide essential in-person services, we have moved to a hybrid or remote work-from-home environment. Many of our LA HQ office team members enjoy being in the office to connect and work together; and some of our teammates work Monday through Thursday in office. We have also added flexible office space to geographies, such as the Bay Area, where team members who started out fully remote requested the opportunity to get together more often for the connection and community of working together. We provide home antigen testing kits to all employees to ensure that anyone coming into an office can test before they arrive. We have set up protocols to ensure that those who are in the office are safe.
Sunbit builds financial technology for everyday expenses. Our AI/ML technology approves the majority of people who apply and eases the stress of paying for life’s expenses by giving people more options on how and when they pay. Sunbit offers a next-generation no-fee credit card as well as a point-of-sale payment option. We’re a team of experts from different backgrounds and experiences, coming together to build products and services that change the world.
