TaylorMade Golf Company

Why TaylorMade Golf Company IS A MOST LOVED WORKPLACE®

Systemic Collaboration

EMPLOYEES COLLABORATE THROUGHOUT OUR COMPANY BY …

From the moment they embark on their TaylorMade journey, we believe in fostering a sense of community and belonging. It starts with our employee new hire orientation experience and then builds with new hire cohort socials during an employee’s first year. We provide both informal, social experiences and more structured learning opportunities for all employees across our organization to foster “cross-pollination” and strengthen the relationships that serve as the foundation for collaboration. We know that the success of our products and of our business is firmly reliant on our ability to collaborate well – to hear from all voices, to problem-solve, to create, and to celebrate together.

Positive Vision of the Future

EMPLOYEES AT OUR COMPANY HAVE A POSITIVE VISION FOR THE FUTURE BECAUSE …

We have made history together and continue to build on that history with groundbreaking, innovative products that push the boundaries of what is possible in our sport. Based on our pulse check feedback we know our employees are passionate about their work, our products, the brand and our unique culture. One of the questions we regularly ask is if they are excited about the future of TaylorMade, and we are proud to consistently score above the global benchmark on this question. That sentiment further comes to life if you look at the striking number of people who have made TaylorMade their home for 20, 25, even 30+ years…140 and counting!

Company Respect

WE SHOW RESPECT AND ENSURE THAT ALL VOICES ARE HEARD AND IDEAS ARE VALUED THROUGHOUT THE COMPANY BY …

We believe that a culture of belonging begins with listening. Several times a year we pulse check our employees for their opinions and ideas. With a global response rate that is always well above benchmarks, we get direct feedback from our teams on what we are doing right and where there may be opportunities to strengthen our employee experience. Some of our biggest company initiatives are a result of employee feedback, having direct influence on our programs, communication initiatives and company culture.
During the height of the pandemic we were reminded of just how critical it is to nurture relationships. Whether it’s in our learning programs, People Leader sessions or company communications, we spend a great deal of time making sure voices are heard – to meet the needs of our employees and foster an inviting and inclusive environment.

Company Support / Killer Outcomes

WE SUPPORT OUR EMPLOYEES IN ACHIEVING THEIR PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL GOALS BY …

One of the things we value most at TaylorMade is our commitment to the continuous development and cultivation of our people – to inspire them on their individual path of growth. Each employee sets an annual goal focused exclusively on learning. We have an internal development and engagement team, made up of professionals who design and deliver a variety of programs that help employees build skills that transcend title and drive career-readiness for the next big thing that comes along in their career path. In tandem, we help employees imagine the myriad of paths their career could take, through programs such as Career Stories, in which our leaders share their own personal career journey, and even through outside guest speakers, which have recently included names such as renowned UConn women’s basketball coach Geno Auriemma and Jeff Weiner, the Executive Chairman of LinkedIn.

Alignment of Values

OUR COMPANY’S VALUES ARE ALIGNED WITH OUR EMPLOYEES BECAUSE …

Original. For over 42 years, we’ve had little interest in the easy or the expected. We are wired to take on risks and set trends.
Competitive. We want to win. But we do so in the spirit of our sport and with great respect for the game. We are fueled by a never done work ethic and a humility that comes with the privilege of serving golfers every day.
Relatable. Our shared love for the game connects us to the products we make and the golfers who use them. It’s more than a game to us, golf is a driving force that brings us together.
Golftimistic. We are wildly passionate about this great sport and optimistic about its future.

Company Practices / Love

PROGRAMS AND PRACTICES WE GIVE TO OUR EMPLOYEES THAT CREATE A LOVED WORKPLACE ARE …

At TaylorMade we focus on creating a culture of connectivity, innovation and, most importantly fun. Whether it’s connecting at a monthly social hour, playing in a company golf tournament or bowling league, or powering through a lunchtime workout class or golf lesson – our employees have a work hard, play hard mentality that comes across in everything we do. Don’t even get us started on our over-the-top Halloween competitions – yes, they have even been known to involve live animals though we promise no creatures were harmed in the making of our fun.

CEO Strengths

OUR CEO SERVES AS A MODEL OF OUR COMPANY VALUES BY …

No one models our brand personality more than our CEO & President, David Abeles. He lives and breathes relentless golftimism, always pushing beyond potential obstacles or challenges. He inspires our employees to stay driven and connected with each other, our customers, and golfers around the world.

Benefits

EXAMPLES OF UNIQUE BENEFITS, BONUS, OR COMPENSATION WE PROVIDE ARE …

The “Life at TaylorMade” experience goes beyond competitive compensation and generous benefits. While we’re proud of our unique benefits like Summer Hours, financial planning support, Gift of Time (PTO Donation) and adoption/surrogacy assistance, we really focus our engagement efforts on creating connective memories that strengthen our culture. In addition to regular 19th Hole social hours, onsite fitness classes, and sports leagues ranging from bowling to ping pong, we of course center a great deal around golf – company tournaments, athlete interactions, outings, lessons, product demos, product launches, even golf camp for employees’ kids. We also take pride in the connection to our community, through our employee-led Communi-Tee volunteer group, partnership with local schools for STEM programming, and paid volunteer time off for employees to pursue passions close to their heart. Finally, we most enjoy our opportunities to celebrate together, whether it’s bringing our families together to unveil new groundbreaking product or celebrating both the pivotal achievements of individuals and the company’s performance on our annual Bonus Day, we know these shared experiences intensify a sense of belonging to the greatest golf company in the world.
