Using a mix of digital communication, in-office visits, and larger off-sites. One example is our recent Tech Week event in which our Tech, Product, and Analytics teams flew to Los Angeles for a week of meetings, seminars, wellness events, and team bonding.
From the start of remote work in 2020, ZipRecruiter has had a camera-on culture, encouraging employees to show their faces on-screen to build stronger connections with people who are not physically together. In our hybrid setup, policies—such as requiring each meeting attendee to join on their own screen— ensure everyone’s voice is heard and in-office attendees are not favored.

Our response to COVID-19

Monthly stipends offset the cost of home internet, and we have made intentional efforts to provide gifts reflective of our gratitude and communal reasons for celebration.
Our ZipBuddies program randomly connects employees to chat, recreating the sense of meeting someone new while walking the hallways. We also recognize the benefit of safe in-person gatherings, to foster rapport and build trust amongst teammates. We’ve supported the creation of smaller, COVID-safe gatherings to allow for team building and bonding.
