ZoomInfo deeply values employee input as a way of improving our processes and generating new ideas. Feedback is critical to our success. We also believe in rewarding employees for their feedback and contributions that improve business performance.

One unique program that we began last year is called Shark Tank - Zoominfo Edition. This is a company-wide competition spearheaded by our Innovation department that seeks out the next big idea in a given category. Thus far we completed three iterations of Shark Tank - two to discover employee ideas for untapped revenue streams and another to seek out new initiatives for creating a world-class employee experience. We'll repeat another employee experience round later this year.

We also have a program called Leadership Lounge – a weekly informal networking series where 5-10 employees sit down for a chat with a ZoomInfo leader. There’s no set agenda and no canned questions, just an hour of real people and real talk. Anything is on the table: greatest music videos of all time, best fast food after 10 PM, coolest true-crime podcast, whatever!

Finally, we are constantly asking for employee feedback and monitoring engagement with focus groups, feedback forms, and surveys like Most Loved Workplaces and Great Place to Work.

We strive to enable the success and overall achievement of employees, and we do this by ensuring everyone has access to training and development opportunities.

Our Learning and Development platform, ZoomInforward, offers hundreds of self-paced learning courses and technical trainings on everything from creating work/life balance, to hosting effective meetings, to giving a stellar presentation. Our team of Learning and Development professionals also conducts world-class in-person training. One of their most successful programs to date has been Engineering Bootcamp, which enables us to accelerate development on key engineering initiatives and provides an exciting new pipeline for onboarding diverse talent into our Engineering organization.

For new managers, we offer Management Essentials, which is an orientation to the fundamentals of becoming a people leader. The six-session virtual learning program is designed to kick start participants’ journey into being a manager. Sessions include setting clear expectations, managing performance, cultural sensitivity, coaching, and feedback. We also offer Manager Accelerator training, an 8-week hybrid learning program to equip today's managers to be tomorrow's leaders.

Before we launched our company values in early 2021, we first surveyed our entire employee population to make sure the values resonated with our workforce. We use our values as hiring criteria to ensure each new team member is a great cultural fit. Before an employee starts with ZoomInfo, we ensure they receive a copy of our Values, and our new hire swag kit has our Values printed on various items. For example, everyone receives a “Difference Maker” t-shirt in their new hire kit. PROGRAMS AND PRACTICES WE GIVE TO OUR EMPLOYEES THAT CREATE A LOVED WORKPLACE ARE …

In the past two years, ZoomInfo has prioritized employee wellness. The effects of the COVID-19 pandemic have challenged our physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing, and we’ve responded by redoubling our efforts to keep our employees happy and healthy.

To start, we revamped our benefits offering to include an HSA employer match, an additional HSA-eligible plan, and a plan with a $0 premium for single employees. We also significantly expanded our vision and dental insurance offerings by switching to much larger national carriers. We’ve added a $20,000 surrogacy and adoption benefit AND a $20,000 infertility support benefit per employee, as well as 12 weeks of paid parental leave for primary caregivers. Finally, we expanded our coverage related to transgender benefits to ensure all our employees had an equitable experience at ZoomInfo.

ZoomInfo cares deeply for its employees and the communities in which we live and work. It is a ZoomInfo tradition to hold an annual Winter Donation Drive to raise funds for those in need in our communities. As a company with a presence in eight major cities in the U.S., as well as Israel, India, Canada, and the UK, we have an opportunity to care for many diverse communities. We set our vision on supporting nonprofits that focus on breaking the cycle of childhood poverty and hunger, and last year we raised over $2 million for kids and families in need.

This is because our values are based on a document penned by our CEO when he first started the company. Henry Schuck, our founder and CEO, envisioned a company that would build a hitherto unimagined go-to-market platform; however, alongside that he envisioned a company with an incredible, inclusive culture. So he put pen to paper to create his manifesto, which became our culture book and eventually, the company values that we espouse today.

ZoomInfo has an unlimited PTO policy that prioritizes providing employees the flexibility they need to balance their work and life. At ZoomInfo, we recognize that we work better when we take time to recharge and care for ourselves.

This year, ZoomInfo is holding its first ever Annual Employee Appreciation Day. We organized this day in the middle of spring when there is a long stretch between federal holidays. The beauty of Employee Appreciation Day is that the whole company gets a day off to rest, relax, or do whatever makes them happy without having to worry about Slack messages or emails stacking up.

Our response to COVID-19

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, ZoomInfo did not have a remote work policy. Practically overnight, we migrated all employees to a work-from-home model with no loss of productivity. Our offices are now open to any fully vaccinated employees; however, most of our employees remain remote while we carefully monitor the COVID-19 situation and study best practices for safely and thoughtfully rolling out a return to office plan that gives employees the balance and flexibility they need.

In addition to completely overhauling our approach to remote work, a key factor in ZoomInfo’s philosophy on caring for employees includes ensuring there are avenues for employees to feel supported and heard during challenging times. The pandemic exposed many individuals to loneliness, isolation, fear, and uncertainty, and for minority demographics, this was magnified. The Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) community, in particular, experienced heightened levels of violence and discrimination. In response to these terrible side effects of the pandemic, we launched two new Employee Resource Groups – the AAPI Allyship Network, which offers support and resources for Asian American and Pacific Islander employees, and ZI Wellness, which aims to create a safe space for personal growth by breaking down the stigmas surrounding mental, emotional, and physical health.
